CORPUS CHRISTI – Police say a man, who had two warrants out for his arrest, decided to hide from police officers inside an attic.

Corpus Christi police officers say they got information about a wanted suspect who was staying at a home in the 3000 block of White Bird Drive off of Kostoryz Road Sunday afternoon.

When they arrived, police officers say the suspect ran up to the attic. Police say they asked the suspect to come down, but he continued to barricade himself in the attic.

Additional officers were called in to assist and police used a pepper spray gun to get the suspect out from the attic.

The actions of the police officers were successful and the suspect was handcuffed and arrested.

Police say the man had two active warrants out for his arrest.
