CORPUS CHRISTI – One local bride-to-be is asking for help from the public after a little piece of wedding bliss was stolen right off her front porch.

The incident happened around 2 p.m. on a Friday, and was all caught on surveillance camera.

Kristina Leal’s wedding shoes were delivered, but a porch pirate stole them in less than 30 seconds.

“The bottom line is, they weren’t her shoes and she took them. It wasn’t her package, and she took it right off my porch,” Leal said.

Leal lives in a neighborhood just around the corner from Windsor Park Elementary and said she’s talked to neighbors who have their packages delivered at work to avoid this problem altogether.

“This duo of thieves was very bold to park on my driveway, walk on my grass, and just act like she belonged there. I think we just have to be more vigilant as a community at protecting our property and our things,” Leal said.

She has filed a report with the Corpus Christi Police Department and the case is being investigated.

Leal said it’s not about the cost of the shoes, but the principle of the situation.

However, she won’t let this incident turn her into a “bridezilla” less than 100 days before her wedding. The company sent Leal another pair of the same shoes free of charge.

She hopes sharing this surveillance footage will assist investigators in catching this thief.
