Homeless man rescued from dump truck

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man had to be rescued from a dump truck Friday morning.

It happened just before 7 a.m. near the GameStop at Five Points.

According to the Corpus Christi Fire Department, the man was asleep in a dumpster near the store when a dump truck came to empty it.

The man was then thrown into the back of the dump truck.

The driver heard a loud thump and called for help.

The Corpus Christi Fire Department had to use a ladder to get the man out.

He was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.When asked how unusual this call was,

Battalion Chief JD Johnson said "I have never been on one of these calls."
