CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — There is some good news for restaurants with a liquor license.

They can now deliver alcohol during coronavirus closures.

The governor issued a waiver to allow restaurants in Texas to deliver beer, wine and mixed drinks while their dining rooms are closed.

The move is in response to the financial hardship caused by covid-19 that had affected the hospitality industry.

The alcohol delivery must be accompanied by a food purchase.
