CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — If you've been tested for COVID-19, but you’re still awaiting results, you’re not alone.

We’ve received calls from several people saying that they’ve been waiting for quite awhile.

Local authorities say the wait depends on who tested you.

If it was by the health department, you should get your results within three days.

But if you were tested by the National Guard, or some other agency it often takes longer.

Those samples get sent to different labs across the state and that takes some time.

If you've been waiting for more than a week, it’s possible the people sending the results back have the wrong contact information for you.
