CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — The Coronavirus pandemic has dominated the news for weeks, but there are some in our community who don't have access to all that information. We're talking about the city's homeless.
The Salvation Army is trying to change that with events like a street outreach at South Bluff Park.
They were at South Bluff Park handing out sack lunches and, more importantly, information.
Volunteers handed out information about the Coronavirus, along with water and hygiene products.
A spokesman for the Salvation Army says their mission right now is to educate the homeless about the virus and the importance of social distancing.
