The State of Texas hold COVID-19 mobile testing Friday and Saturday in San Patricio county.

Testing will only be done on people with appointments. In order to get an appointment, potential patients should call (512) 883-2400 or visit www.txcovidtest.org to be screened and registered.

The first batch of testing will take place Friday at the San Patricio County Fairgrounds located at 219 W. 5th Street in Sinton. The second will happen Saturday at Gonzalo Paiz Park at 525 N. Frio in Mathis.

A referral code with all the necessary information will be given to those who have completed the screening and registration process online or over the phone.

Screening will be done for those who have the following symptoms: fever and/or chills; cough; fatigue; body aches and/or muscle or joint pain; shortness of breath; sore throat; headaches; nausea; vomiting; diarrhea; nasal congestion; and/or the loss of taste or smell.

People who show up without a referral code and are not registered will be asked to get out of line to call the number. If the person meets the criteria, then they will be allowed to get back in line only after it is determined that they need to be tested.
