CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The coronavirus pandemic has dominated the news for weeks, but there are some in our community who don't have access to important information.
The homeless are sometimes the last to know about prevention information and new city rules.
The Salvation Army is trying to change that with events like outreach programs such as one held today at South Bluff Park.
Volunteers and staff were at South Bluff Park handing out sack lunches, water, hygiene products and coronavirus information.
A spokesman for the Salvation Army says their mission right now is to educate the homeless about the virus and the importance of social distancing.
