CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Due to COVID-19, animal clinics like this one at Baldwin and Crosstown have moved their operations to curbside service.
This clinic has let staff decide if they want to stay home during this time.
It's led to a smaller staff and change in hours.
Instead of bringing animals inside, pet owners sign in at the front.
They then wait outside or in the car until the pet's name is called.
"It’s a slow process, but I feel that we are able to still provide a service for those people who have an emergency," veterinarian Dr. Autumn Moody said.
Moody wants pet owners to evaluate their situation before coming to the clinic.
She says if it's an emergency then come, but otherwise stay home.
And if the pet owners are elderly or sick, then do not come and have someone bring the pet for them.
This clinic recommends calling ahead of time wherever you choose to go, that way you can limit the amount of face-to-face interaction..
