CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — The city/county health department has confirmed five more COVID deaths in Nueces County, pushing the local total to 24 in the pandemic.
According to Nueces County Commissioner Brent Chesney, some of those who passed away had medical conditions including high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, and wastage renal disease.
Public health officials continue to stress the importance of frequent hand-washing; avoiding touching one's nose, eyes, and mouth with unwashed hands; avoiding being around anyone sick; practicing social distance, with at least 6 feet between you and others; and wear a face-covering in public.
