CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Miller Graduates held a symbolic event on what would have been their last day of school.

Seniors gathered Wednesday evening to watch the sun set on their high school days. Students donned their caps and gowns and decorated their vehicles for a parade around the school.

The seniors wanted a chance to share memories of the school year before graduating.

"I feel happy. i feel a little sad at the same time because it's the last time as a class we are going to be together. but just happy. excited. and ready to see what's going to be on the next chapter," said senior Austin Escamilla.

From the schoool parking lot, they headed over to Whataburger Field to take a look a the Harbor Bridge. It was lit up with purple and gold lights in their honor.
