CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A local law firm has asked a Nueces County judge to hold its first civil jury trial via zoom.

The case concerns a 2017 crane collapse in the parking lot of the Walmart store on Greenwood.

The incident left the crane operator --- Robert Faircloth --- paralyzed from the incident.

The case is currently set for trial on Oct. 5. But Faircloth's lawyers argue that the trial should be held virtually because the county is still in the midst of a pandemic.

A hearing on the motion is set for Thursday.
