Kleberg County will close Dick Kleberg Park in Kingsville on Friday morning to set up a COVID-19 testing site in the park’s recreation center.
Like Thursday’s drive-through sampling in Corpus Christi, this event is not open to the public. You must be pre-screened and have an appointment.
Medical professionals hope to have the test site up-and-running by Saturday morning.
Officials will swab a possible coronavirus patient’s nose, and then send the sample to Harlingen for testing.
It’s not clear when Dick Kleberg Park will reopen.
