Judge Joe Benavides hospitalized due to COVID-19

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Judge Joe Benavides reports that he has been hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Judge Benavides announced his hospitalization on his social media account on Facebook.

In his post, he states, "I have been admitted and positively diagnosed with COVID-19. My staff is doing well and under quarantine. We will continue business as usual and start hearing and serving on 07-13-2020 up running via zoom."

He continued to thank the doctors and nurses at Christus Spohn.

Judge Joe Benavides is the current sitting judge for Precinct 1-1 of the Nueces County Justice of the Peace.
