"Hugging booth" lets local senior citizens interact with loved ones

Rex Gabriel has found a way to help a population of the city that isn't exactly in his radio demographic.

It's his skills away from the microphone that are allowing him to help seniors in the area be able to safely interact with their loved ones.

Gabriel, who also does carpentry, has built what he calls a "hugging booth," that a local senior-living center will be using this weekend to let its residents finally be able to "touch" their loved ones in a way that protects them from COVID-19.
