An H-E-B employee has been diagnosed with COVID-19, according to a statement released by the company.

The affected employee works at the Annaville location on 11100 Leopard St.

The statement said the employee's work area and the store were well sanitized and deep cleaned multiple times since the employee was last in the store May 1.

“As COVID-19 continues to impact communities around the world, our H-E-B family of more than 120,000 Partners has not gone unaffected,” the statement reads. “At impacted locations, all directly affected Partners are notified and provided medical advice, each location is deep cleaned and sanitized multiple times.”

The statement refers customers to each store’s website to learn when or if a diagnosed employee last worked there.

“Our primary focus is keeping our Partners and customers safe,” the statement says.
