It was a bittersweet day for Gloria Hicks Elementary students Monday who went by their school to pick up items left behind in their classrooms.
Fifth-grader Isabella Villasana said she misses her teachers.
"Because they were there and helped us do whatever we needed to do," she said.
The students' belongings were bagged up and labeled with their names to make it easier for parents picking up. Parents said quarantine has been tough, but they're in touch with teachers in order to help their children finish the semester.
Many of the students said they miss their friends and teachers, as they dropped off books and supplies belonging to the school and picked up their items.
"When we were in class and stuff, we always had fun times," said third-grader Serenity Jones. "And we do work together and we always team-up."
