CALALLEN, Texas — One local man has decided to show healthcare professionals and law enforcement officers just how much they are appreciated after being on the front lines of this pandemic by offering them free lawn care services.

Jack Camplain, who is a coach and teacher at Calallen High School says he just wants to help those in this time of uncertainty.

“It is just a way to give back to the community and those who are really putting their life on the line and possibly help us survive this crisis right now,” said Camplain.

Camplain wants to extend his free services to any healthcare professional who finds themselves stretched thin and in need of a helping hand.

“If you are one of the workers in the healthcare industry, police officers, anybody that’s out working and can’t really have time to mow your yard or don’t have the time to get it done, I am willing to come out and do it for free,” said Camplain.

In return for his services, Camplain is asking for only one thing.

“As long as I can get some water from the outside hose is all I ask for,” said Camplain.

There is a message he wants to send his students.

“I talk to my students all the time about giving time and helping others and giving to the community. So this is one way I can show them I am trying to do that as well,” said Camplain.
