CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Staff with Clean Hair Studios located on Saratoga Boulevard are making great efforts to reduce the spread of the coronavirus and helping area families don’t go hungry as the ongoing health crisis continues.

“Our own people were affected I was affected I mean the whole world has been affected,” says Owner of Clean Hair Salon Ali Hoffberg.

The south side hair studio reopened their doors on May 8th. Staff realizes how the health crisis has impacted so many people.

“For us it just hits home and we want to make sure that we are doing everything we can we're fortunate enough that we can be back at work now so it's our turn to give back to the community and make sure that they feel the appreciation,” says Hoffberg.

In the front lobby of the facility sits a huge red bin for customers who can donate canned goods.

These items will be picked up and given to the Coastal Bend Food Bank.

Ali Hoffberg says for those who may have done a little over-shopping during quarantine, this would be a great time to give back and help area families in need.

“The grocery stores are doing great now deliveries are coming back we don't need to be hanging on to stuff that we don't need anymore now it's time for us to give back,” says Hoffberg.

Clean Hair Salon Studio had offered an incentive for their customers.

If the customer was able to bring 10 items, they were able to get a discount on their haircuts.

Other businesses like Chops and Eggs, Voltage Salon, and Salon Divine have partnered to make sure area families have a meal during the coronavirus health crisis.

“When you have the opportunity to do good you feel good that energy is priceless you can't buy that,” says Ali Hoffberg.
