Some of the family and friends of the six people killed in last week’s crash near Robstown have gathered at the scene tonight.
A vigil is being held in memory of those killed a week ago tonight.
As we’ve reported, a Mexican national is accused of trying to smuggle 18 illegal immigrants to Houston when he was involved in that crash just east of Robstown.
At least nine people were also injured.
The driver is charged with unlawful transportation of aliens resulting in death.
He could face the death penalty if he’s convicted.
