Several events to remember the service provided to all of us by our veterans will highlight Memorial Day activities across the Coastal Bend.
Hundreds are expected to congregate at Sherrill Park for the annual Memorial Day remembrance there.
Another one will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
A memorial wreath was placed there by members of the American Legion.
Moody High School with the National Honor Society also placed flags on veterans’ graves.
Other events scheduled will include:
- Seaside Memorial Park and Funeral Home will host a tribute to our veterans at 1 p.m.
- A commemoration and wreath laying will be held on board the U.S.S. Lexington Museum at 2 p.m.
