Guy Williams’ judicial career remains in jeopardy

Posted

With several pending cases against him, the future of Judge Guy Williams’ career remains uncertain.

Last week, an appeals panel made up of three judges ruled to uphold a decision by the Texas Ethics Commission to publicly reprimand him.

Ultimately, that decision means Williams cannot serve as a visiting judge or collect retirement.

He was only four months away from being able to do just that.

This afternoon, we’re aiming to speak to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct about what this means for Williams moving forward.

We’ll have more on this later today on KRIS 6 News.

Guy Williams will next be in court on June 12.

That’s when his trial begins for a public intoxication charge from May 2018.
