For years Marker 37 Marina was a place on the island that kept anglers and boaters prepared for a day on the water. Now, with the recent upgrades, Marker 37 Marina is set to appeal to everyone and anyone.

“What we’re trying to do is, get people interested in coming to this island and not just to hop on a boat and go fishing. But to come out here and hang out and have a good time,” says manager Stephen Brown.

Brown says this marina has always brought people from all over and now he hopes it becomes a real destination instead of a fishing stop-and-go.

The upgrades include, a full boardwalk with picnic tables and artistic wood carvings. A full bar, a food truck, Fishtales that is set to be a 2-story, 5,000 sq ft restaurant. A conference center, and other amenities like a fuel station for any boat and concierge service.

Marker 37 Marina will also begin having live music on the weekends.
