Tar balls washing onto local beaches

Something has washed up recently that could tarnish your visit.

Natural tar balls by the hundreds began washing up at Padre Island National Seashore over the weekend.

They’re black, sticky and are about the size of a quarter.

Where are they coming from and how long will they stick around?
