With the start of hurricane season less than a month away, area emergency officials went over their response plan.
Emergency managers and first responders from across the Coastal Bend held a table-top exercise at the Borchard Fairgrounds.
The scenario involved a hurricane hitting our area and the purpose was to test everyone’s emergency response plan.
The exercise helps the various agencies coordinate their response across different county jurisdictions.
It’s a chance to make sure everyone is ready to go if a real storm ever hits us again.
