The Texas Senate Education Committee is now reviewing legislation to overhaul the state’s public school funding system.
As state lawmakers struggle to fix that system, more parents are turning to home schooling.
According to several local parents involved in home schooling, over the last 10 years more families are choosing this type of education.
Today we’re talking to parents who homeschool their children and hear why they’ve made the choice.
We’re also talking to a football coach and player, who tells us that introducing a sports program into home schooling is one of the reasons why we’re seeing this increase lately.
