There’s more construction planned, this time a stretch of Interstate 37 that runs from the Red Bird Lane exit to the Highway 77 interchange.
TXDOT will host an open house tonight from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Calallen High School to let people know about the project.
TXDOT offcials say this is a lane balancing project.
In that area, traffic fluctuates between five lanes and three lanes on either side of I-37.
This project will even the road to four lanes on each side.
There’s also plans to replace the Nueces River Bridge with a higher and wider structure.
So when is work supposed to start? And what will the project mean for traffic in this major artery?
