April’s only full moon will be visible on Friday.
And for those with a clear view, it should be quite a sight to behold.
The “Full Pink Moon” will appear at approximately 6:12 a.m. (CT) with 100 percent illumination. It might be worth getting up early for if cloudless skies still are present.

Despite its name, the moon actually won’t have a truly pink color to it. It is named the pink moon for the pink flowers that tend to sprout around this time in the spring.
So be on the lookout for the full moon starting tonight through Saturday. And hopefully clouds won’t be present when you might be witnessing it.
