The North Beach Infrastructure Task Force is unveiling its redevelopment proposal during a press conference at the Texas State Aquarium.
Several civic leaders are expected to announce a plan to solve the beach’s chronic problems with storm water drainage, flooding and beach erosion.
They also are expected to discuss building a canal of more than 60 feet in width that would open in Corpus Christi Bay and would extend by more than a mile.
