There was a packed house today at the Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery.
Many of the mourners were there to pay their final respects to a man they never met.
U.S. Air Force Veteran Sgt. Andrew Cavazos Ybarra was laid to rest this afternoon.
The Texas Veterans Land Board helped stage today’s service after they found out that Ybarra was not expected to have anyone attend his funeral.
Ybarra was given a full military burial, complete with a 21-gun salute.
