Great Texas Warrant Roundup finishing up with strong numbers

The Great Texas Warrant Roundup is about to end.

Area law enforcement agencies have been out looking for people with outstanding warrants or unpaid fines since Feb. 23.

The roundup ends tomorrow, but it doesn’t mean you are off the hook.

If you have an outstanding warrant, you can still be arrested, even after the roundup ends.

Before the roundup began, an amnesty period was held, which cleared just more than 5,700 cases.

That was 1,400 more than last year.
