A 26-year-old San Antonio man was arrested after he allegedly admitted to raping a 3-year-old girl, resulting in her contraction of chlamydia and gonorrhea, according to Bexar County court records.
Drevon Alexander Perkins now faces a charge of super aggravated sexual assault of a child. The San Antonio Express-News reports Perkins was booked into the Bexar County Jail Tuesday on a $100,000 bail.
The Express-News reports that according to court records, the victim’s mother noticed discharge in her diaper. That led to the parent taking her to a local hospital for treatment. That physician told her the little girl was infected with the STDs, leading to an investigation by the San Antonio Police Department.
During a polygraph test administered by San Antonio police, Perkins allegedly admitted to raping the girl in January during a drug binge. He said he assaulted the girl at his apartment while her mother was away at work.
The affidavit also notes Perkins has the same STDs that the girl was found to have contracted.
