County commissioners voted this morning to move forward with the sale of Spohn Memorial Hospital.
Christus Spohn no longer uses that hospital for medical cases, but there was a lengthy discussion about what would happen with the psychiatric portion of the hospital that still is in use.
The county hospital district, which owns the property, has already voted to sell it.
Any sale will not include the Dr. Hector P. Garcia Clinic.
KRIS-6 News has confirmed that the Ed Rachal Foundation plans to bid for the land.
