It’s a case for CSI. Or even for our KRIS 6 Investigative team.
Wilbert the Javelina and Rocky Horned Toad were stolen this week during an….ahem…."robbery" and it has the kids puzzled. This is all part of this week’s summer camp at the Museum of Science and History.
This week’s theme: CSI.
The job of this week’s campers is to look at the clues left behind and figure out who done it? The kids range from 5 years old to 8 years old.
Our Katia Uriarte stopped by to help the kids figure out who stole their beloved stuffed pets.
Katia talked to the kids about investigative journalism and how they can use the same techniques we use in the newsroom to figure out the mystery of the missing javelina and horned toad.
The kids are having a great time learning how to sift thru clues, learn what questions to ask and figure out who done it. The kids have even made posters of their beloved missing stuffed animals asking for their return to the classroom.
(HINT: one of the counselors conducted the planned heist and the stuffed animals will be returned in their original condition by the end of the week)
The museum hosts multiple, one-week camps throughout the summer.
Hours for the camp are from 9:00 am-4:00 pm Monday-Friday.
