If you’ve recently renewed your vehicle registration tags, you may have noticed you’re actually issued two stickers.
One is the sticker we’re all familiar with. You peel it off and put it on your windshield.
But there’s another sticker on the sheet that says "Void, do not use."
We looked into that and it turns out that sticker is for trailers or motorcycles.
So why not issue that one separately? Kevin Kieschnick, who is the Nueces County Tax Assessor/Collector, says,"It’s massed produced and it saves the state money to do, to have one form for both."
"It keeps us from having to interchange paper and the registration stickers as well so it just streamlines the process," Kieschnick continued.
In case you’re wondering, you can throw away that void sticker if you don’t need it.
