A picture posted on a Texas Parks & Wildlife Facebook page is starting to go viral in the state because it shows a white rock rattlesnake that was blending in between the white concrete.
The picture was posted on the Wyler Aerial Tramway Facebook page Wednesday afternoon. After it was posted, the picture of the white reptile was shared more than seven thousand times over the last couple of days.
The post states,"We had this little friend come and cool down by one of the doors at the park; it is a Rock Rattlesnake (Crotalus lepidus)."
"Rattlesnakes feed on lizards, small birds, small mammals (like mice), and other snakes keeping those populations under control," the statement continued.
Park Rangers say if you see a rattlesnake don’t get scared. They advise just give it some space to move away and urge park patrons to leave it alone.
