The prosecution rested today in the murder trial of Aldo Naranjo.

Naranjo is accused of shooting 38-year-old Army Veteran Joel Cunha in January.

Investigators say the shooting was a result of an incident that took place at a local Stripes store, where Naranjo is seen on surveillance video allegedly confronting Cunha’s daughter.

Prosecutors say Naranjo then shot and killed Cunha on Mistletoe Drive.

Cunha’s 14-year-old daughter, who witnessed the shooting, was the final witness for the prosecution.

The defense grilled her about what she saw that night and how far away Naranjo was from Cunha at the time of the shooting.

Naranjo is claiming self defense in the shootng.
