CCPD responding to possible bank robbery

UPDATE: Corpus Christi Police have arrested a suspect in connection with this afternoon’s robbery. Police say the arrest was made 21 minutes after the initial bank robbery call was reported. The suspect’s name has not yet been released.

Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department are responding to possible bank robbery.

The incident happened just before 1:30 pm Friday afternoon at a bank located in the 200 block of Shoreline Boulevard.

Police say preliminary reports said a man, in his upper 40’s, walked in the bank and demanded cash. The suspect walked away from the bank on foot.

Senior Officer Travis Pace says they detained a possible suspect 21 minutes after the robbery.
