The Padre Island National Seashore is inviting the public to come out for this year’s 12th Kemp’s ridley sea turtle hatchling release.
The free event is scheduled for Friday, July 13 at 6:45 a.m. in front of the Malaquite Beach Visitor Center.
PINS advises anyone planning to attend the release to check the Sea Turtle Science and Recovery Facebook page or call the Hatchling Hotline at 361-949-7136 to make sure the event is on schedule.
PINS says another hatchling release is also scheduled for Saturday in conjunction with the Ridley Rendezvous celebration.
