Waterspout forms near Mustang Island

Several people got to witness a cool weather event near Mustang Island Saturday morning.

It appears a waterspout formed around 9:00 am Saturday morning South of Mustang Island according to witnesses.

Jason Shields says he was fishing when a waterspout formed. He quickly pulled out his cell phone, snapped this picture, and shared the picture on social media.

Meanwhile, another person, Tasha Schaded, who is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with Lifefit at a personal training studio, says she was working out near the area, saw the weather event, pulled out her cell phone and shared this picture with our KRIS 6 News Facebook page.
