An infamous flamingo, that has been on the run for 13 years, was spotted along the Texas Coastline. Yep, you read that right.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Coastal Fisheries Facebook page reports the missing bird was spotted and photographed over the weekend this past Friday.

It turns out the flamingo escaped from a Kansas City Zoo back in 2005. But before you ask,"How do they know it is the infamous jailbird," it turns out the long-legged pink bird had a tag around its foot, labeled ‘No. 492.’

It turns out that the zookeepers forgot to clip the bird’s wings, making it able to escape 13 years ago.

According to the Facebook post, it makes an appearance every few years in Texas and is a treat for avid bird watchers.
