The KRIS 6 Fact Check team looked into this and it turns out, this is a FACT.
The IRS is currently mailing out notices to people who filed their tax returns on time, but didn’t pay what they owed.
They’re called a CP-14 or CP- 501 notice, the IRS mails them out around this time of the year to notify taxpayers that they have a balance due.
