Two young kids are trying to make an impact in Corpus Christi.
Elizabeth, 12 and Dominic, 15, have been volunteering at numerous places throughout the years. But it was when The Purple Door went to Elizabeth’s school, when she realized how much these women need help.
That’s when she talked to her mom, RaeAnn, about ways to help women at the women’s shelter. After doing some research, they found a perfect way to help, through ‘blessing bags.’
Since last week, Elizabeth and her brother have been gathering toiletry items to put into bags. They will also put snacks and a card full of encouragement, in the blessing bags.
They hope to gather 50 bags to donate to The Purple Door, but need help from the community gathering extra items.
