Ted Cruz continues his "Tough as Texas" campaign with a visit to the Coastal Bend today.
The senator’s 12-city, three-day tour of Texas kicks off his re-election bid.
Cruz will head to McAllen before coming to Corpus Christi, then continue on to San Antonio.
On Wednesday, he will visit Austin, Midland, Amarillo, Wichita Falls, and Dallas/Fort Worth.
Cruz’s new campaign slogan — “Tough as Texas” — punctuates a period of home-state re-engagement following his unsuccessful 2016 presidential campaign.
Senator Cruz will visit the Ortiz Center at 1:00 this afternoon.
