Labonte Park has been known as an Easter destination for decades.
For the past few years, the Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department have required people to reserve spots at the Park. Maintenance crews also pass out garbage bags to each family and constantly keep the trash cleaned up.
Jay Ellington, Parks and Recreation Director, tells KRIS 6, crews were out at Labonte Park all weekend.
In an attempt to keep the park clean there will be crews out Monday morning to pick up any extra trash.
