Posted

Capital murder suspect Christopher Gonzalez will ask for a bond reduction in the 105th District court today.

He’s one of 7 people accused in the murder of Breanna Wood.

Gonzalez entered a not guilty plea Friday, January 26th.

Gonzalez was indicted on three counts, including capital murder, murder and engaging in criminal activity in connection with the murder of Breanna Wood.

Wood was reported missing in October of 2015. Her body was found in January 2017 at an abandoned home near Bluntzer.

Police say Wood’s ex-boyfriend, Joseph Tejeda shot Wood to death. Tejeda, Gonzalez and five others are in custody in connection with Wood’s murder but no motive has been released.

Gonzalez’ bond is set at $1 million.

Earlier this month, prosecutors announced they would not seek the death penalty against Gonzalez. Joseph Tejeda, the alleged gunman, is facing the death penalty.
