Posted

A judge heard defensive arguments from the man accused of the murder of his ex-girlfriend on Thursday morning.

Joseph Tejeda was in court for the hearing, accused and charged with the murder of his ex-girlfriend, Breanna Wood. Defense attorneys for Tejeda had filed several motions including a request for information on negotiations made with key witnesses by the prosecution.

One motion called for the prosecution to provide criminal histories of all law enforcement officers involved in the case along with the role they played in its investigation. That motion was rejected by the judge at the hearing.

However, Judge Jack Pulcher did grant a motion requiring the prosecution to reveal its negotiations or plea deals with two key witnesses involved in the case. The Judge also granted a request for a defensive investigator to assist with the case.

Breanna Wood’s remains were discovered at an abandoned home near Bluntzer back in January. She had been reported missing since October.
