County fire crews were back in action just after 6 a.m. today for another fire near Sea Pines.
That's in the area of Bob Hall Pier.
Again, fireworks were to blame for this fire.
Windy conditions actually helped fire crews that battled both of last night's fires.
“I think direction of the wind, it was going, kind of helped us a little bit,” said Capt. Brandon Sekula of Nueces County ESD No. 2. “You know, kind of blew more things into the water, or it kind of blew things into already burned up area so I think the wind definitely helps but you never know cause it's so unpredictable.”
The Sea Pines fire scorched an area of brush about three quarters of a mile long and 10 feet wide. There were no injuries reported in either fire.
