CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — With state parks and some beaches re-opening, some local beaches were packed with beach goers today.
We've heard from several viewers telling us many people are not practicing social distancing and that the beach could be seen with large crowded gatherings.
We caught up with a visitor from San Antonio who said, she felt the opposite.
"We've seen masks. I mean we also have ours here too so we're always prepared and safe. But honestly everyone has been keeping their distance...As have we," said Victoria Valencia.
Nueces County Judge Barbara Canales spoke early this week about the importance of the community following the guidelines put into place to keep everyone safe.
Despite some beaches reopening local stay at home orders still require a curfew.
No one is allowed on the beach after 8 p.m..
