CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It's another beach weekend with near-record heat inland.
Highs in the upper 90s with only a stray shower possible into the weekend.
Then by Monday the dome of high pressure move back over us and we will be back to the oppressive heat for early next week.
In the long range, there is some movement in the tropics along the equator near Central America.
Computer models are picking up a tropical storm that will form over southern Mexico. The remnants of that system are expected to drift into the Gulf of Mexico. There is early indication that those remnants may bring a chance of rain to Texas by next Friday.
